Single-cavity mould with a slide travelling more than 100 mm on a purpose-built mechanism.

Design decisions

• Single-cavity mould with three slides.
• One slide travels more than 100 mm. A standard angle pin cannot deliver that stroke, so a dedicated actuation mechanism was designed.

A long-stroke slide is exactly the case where the standard solution does not work and the mechanism has to be calculated for the particular part.
